About Me

My photo
Our adventures started in amazing Alaska, but have since taken us to beautiful Spokane Valley, Washington. Our family consists of Nick (Dad), Becki (Mom), and our four boys: Alvin, Alex, Rilie, and Jackson. I enjoy homeschooling our kids and we're excited for what adventures Spokane has for us.

Labor Day Weekend

Pig Out at the Park

Alex couldn't figure out how to get down... took a moment to think about it. Probably some temporary fear of hights, because it's quite the jump.

Green piggy bank from a vendor. I'm sure the park was littered with them by the end of the day.

Snowcones!

Jackson and Daddy

UFO Bounce House

Rilie enjoyed this ride, but it didn't go fast enough for his taste.

Dragon Rollercoaster. This one was great! He went 4x in a row.

Airplane ride! I was nervous about this one, but Nick said he stays in the cockpit. He did! I just pictured my daredevil trying to do some kind of wing rider.

Bumper Cars!

The Fountain!
I only have Rilie pictures here...
because the boys were changing into their swim suits
and then the batteries died.

August & September

Has it really been a month? Well 10 days shy! Life is moving quickly.
I don't have enough hands for a newborn, toddler, and camera...

Jackson - 2 months old

Rilie - 2 years old

My 3 little monkeys

This would make a great... pet?

Victory!

Alex comforting his big brother. Alvin split his head open at the park. The only thing Alvin kept saying, "I don't want stitches! Don't take me to the doctor! I don't want them to sow on me!"

I'm not tired...

Mom this is a crazy place.

Love that smile

Those eyes are telling a story!

Alex's sowing adventure

Alex has asked me to teach him how to sow for years! When we lived in AK, I told him his grandmas would teach him. Now that we have moved... I can't say that with conviction. I found a Mini 4H Before You Sew. This has SIMPLE lessons geared towards K - 2nd graders. Below is Alex's first project! (Side note - I hate sowing! I tried for years to like it... find the right project, etc. It wasn't until a few years ago when I discovered and accepted this fact I stopped feeling like a failed wife/mother. But, when you know it will make your kid happy... you can get over such things).

Fringe Scarf

It has many purposes!
